Opening Speech on Reading, at the Saló de Cent

Literature takes over the Saló de Cent to get the festival of words under way.

Opening Speech on Reading, at the Saló de Cent

The Saló de Cent hall once again hosts the speech on reading which inaugurates the acts planned for Sant Jordi. This year’s speech is by the writer and playwright Yasmina Reza.

Author of the theatre play Art and winner of the latest edition of the Renaudot Prize for her novel Babylone, Reza questions the canons of happiness which govern our lives: family relationships, ideologies and the principles of contemporary art. She will be talking to Xavier Albertí about her work in general, the act of reading and the role of libraries in her literary education.
