See and understand: World Press Photo 2016

Barcelona's 12th edition of the World Press Photo exhibition is here. Organised in the city by the Photographic Social Vision Foundation, the show features photos that have been given this prestigious international award for photojournalism.

Under this year's slogan 'See and understand', the CCCB brings together this year's deserving 155 photographs. The winning entry is 'Hope for a New Life' by Australian photographer Warren Richardson, which shows a baby being passed through an opening in a barbed-wire fence to a Syrian refugee who's managed to cross the border from Serbia to Hungary.
