The first Catalonia Historic Rally will have a unique feature which could influence strictly regularity rallies: the majority of stages will be held on roads which are closed off, or where traffic restrictions apply, while the remainder will be held on a closed circuit, with average speeds always below 50 kmh and two types of averages to choose from.

The race is for vehicles manufactured between 1947 and 1984, grouped into six categories. Cars built in 1985 and 1986 will also be able to take part and have the chance to win the prize for their own category. Registration fees include premium cover, with everything included.
