The opening session takes place at the Sala Phenomena, the rest of the screenings taking place at the Cinemes Girona, where over thirty works will be shown in four free sessions.
This year’s festival offers a varied programme, with particularly risqué and committed works which are a reflection of the current political turmoil in the USA. Films being shown include Certain Women, by Kelly Reichardt, Wiener-Dog, by Todd Solondz, Wiener, the winning documentary at the Sundance Film Festival, and Life, Animated, a documentary about Owen Suskind, and autistic child who broke out of his world thanks to animated film.
The festival also offers parallel activities such as talks and the workshop ‘Americana Kids’ for youngsters.
