Visit the botanical gardens!

Located at the heart of Montjuïc mountain, the Jardí Botànic offers visitors a journey around four continents in a setting which is unique for its architecture and landscape, with excellent views across the Collserola mountain range and the metropolitan area. The fourteen-hectare site includes a selection of flora from regions of the world which share a Mediterranean climate, with a total of 20,000 examples of 2,000 species showing the great similarity between Californian, Chilean, South African and Australian climates and the Mediterranean basin.

The garden, which won the FAD architecture award in 2002, has a permanent display of Mediterranean bonsai species and organises a wide range of botanical activities for all sectors of the public.
