The Lali Jove

A string of activities for children and youngsters are in store at Moll de la Fusta on Saturday, 11 February.

The Lali Jove

The Lali Jove is the local festival for youths and associations in Barcelona, an initiative directly managed by the city’s youth associations as part of the official programme for the Santa Eulàlia festivities. This year the initiative is promoting the use of public space using the slogan ‘Sacsegem carrers i places’ [Let’s rock the streets and squares].

As from 5 pm, everyone is invited to take part in the various simultaneous workshops for children and youngsters, such as the ‘Reciclar saltant’ inflatable, the mobility circuit for entities working with functional diversity, the ‘Entre terres’ space reflecting on migration, and the ‘Estima en colors’ gymkhana to profile affective sexual diversity and gender diversity.

At 8 pm a series of concerts gets under way, headed by the group Oques Grasses. There will also be a cumbiatón with a feminist message to it, with Tremenda Jauria, rumba Catalana and Cuban sounds with 9son, rock and punk with Radical District and rock-soul with Ice Crime, winners of the last edition of the Festival Brot.

During the concerts there will also be direct attention and awareness areas: the SOM.nitmarquee, offering information on the risks associated with drug consumption, and the LaliJoveAntimasclista marquee, to promote awareness about sexist violence and attend to possible cases of this type of aggression.
