The Syrian Palestinian pianist Aeham Ahmad, known as the pianist at the Yarmouk refugee camp, will be offering a grand piano concert in Pl. Rei on 2 March. The aim of the concert is to raise public awareness on the situation of people affected by the war in Syria and who reach Europe seeking refuge. In the same location, at 11 pm, there will be a reading of a manifesto jointly signed by the Maria Canals International Music Competition of Barcelona and the Catalan Association for Peace to promote music as a universal language which breaks down borders and brings together people of all origins.
